Job summary:

The Senior Regulatory Affairs Associate will be responsible for the new product development regulatory activities for Global Traveil Retail EMEA by performing compliance reviews and owning the labelling activities related to these countries. He/she will be the key contact for EMEA regulatory activities on the Product Lifecycle Management System and relabelling process/database with our copacker. He/she will also actively participate in optimising the use of the tools in place for a more efficient and accurate regulatory output, as well as perform Kosher certifications of products manufactured in Brussels. He/she will become the key contact for local partners and certification organisations.

Job description:

Own the EMEA Global Travel Retail NPD regulatory activities: •Be an expert in the different food legislations related to EMEA countries where the company does business. •Work closely with the product development team to perform compliance reviews of the raw materials, recipes and food contact materials. •Work closely with the Art Production team to create regulatory briefs, review and approve product labels. •Develop a strong relationship with our co-packer and ensure relabeling activities are performed accurately and in due times by providing compliant stickers and creating clear instructions to be entered in our system. •Support and advice the Regulatory Affairs Associate EMEA Retail with the NPD project management daily. Allocate projects accordingly and ensure regular tracking and smooth communication within the project team. •Provide proactive, risk-based assessments to guide the business in regulatory matters and participate on numerous cross-functional teams. •Be the regulatory point contact with local key players and projects teams to ensure delivery of the new products for GTR and Retail in a timely manner. •Contact person for technical regulatory questions and registration certificates received from Sales, Inter-companies. Coordinate the regulatory activities within the internal databases: •As key user of our Product Lifecycle Management system, ensure regulatory data is up to date at all time. •Drive the use of the new relabeling system and process in place with impacted parties (copacker, regions, cross functional departments). Be the key contact with our copacker. •Optimize and extend the use of both tools to automate regulatory tasks by suggesting areas of improvements and lead their implementations. Drive the kosher certification program and process: •Own the Kosher certification program for products manufactured in Brussels and be the key contact with related organizations. Coordinate the Kosher audits and manage corresponding action plan. •Perform annual internal training as part of the QA training plan. Change requests coordinator: •Lead the implementation of regulatory change requests. •Be the key coordinator of non-regulatory change requests and ensure smooth communication with the regions. Assure development of processes and SOPs around these specific areas and competencies.

Your profile:

Minimum education required: Bachelor’s in engineering, background in food chemistry and technology. Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in Food Industry and an international company. Knowledge, skills and abilities required: •Fluent in English, French and Dutch •Proficient in Microsoft Office suite •Regulatory affairs expertise in food sector •Experience with project management Soft skills •Analytical thinking •Organizational skills •Hands-on •Proactive •Customer and consumer focus •Result oriented, decision making and problem solving •Authority combined with the right level of diplomacy •Excellent communication skills - Reactivity and autonomy
