Job summary:

The Procurement Manager EMEA develops the EMEA Procurement Strategy for in alignment with EMEA Supply Chain directives, and implements the strategy through sourcing and selecting suppliers, negotiating frame agreements – contract terms, pricing and SLA. He/She also collaborates with Global Procurement on local aspects of spend and initiatives managed globally as well and manages existing supplier relationships and performance. He or she manages all procurement aspects of the NPD process to delivery in the warehouse for the relevant projects. He or she is also responsible for key controls in the P2P process and driving transactional efficiency

Job description:

• Develop and implement EMEA procurement strategy for both Directs and Indirects spend, creating comprehensive network of competitive suppliers supporting the development and competitive edge of the company. • Be accountable for savings delivery for the total EMEA spend including the Globally Managed categories. • Source and select suppliers, negotiate contract terms, SLA’s and prices • Manage suppliers’ relationships: SLA, quality issues, risks, complaints etc. • Fulfils a Single Point of Contact (SPoC) role for sourcing activities in coordination with the global sourcing teams • Coordinate procurement aspects of the New Product Development process for relevant projects and flow of information for the wider supply chain • Propose improvement of the procurement process and policies • Drive spend under influence for Indirects in both Brussels office • Ensuring compliance to audit requirements • Drive transactional efficiency of the P2P process whilst retaining key controls • Be an integral part of the EMEA Supply Chain Team and help drive its KPI’s • Collaborate with Legal to continuously improve the contract process and the use of templates

Your profile:

Education: MBA, MSc or Bachelor in economics or business studies, supply chain or engineering. Procurement specialism is a plus. Work experience: 3-5 + years of procurement experience in competitive procurement organization Languages: English mandatory, French or Dutch desirable Functional Skills: • Commercial & Contracting Law • Critical understanding of P&L’s and business analytics • Understanding of QA regulation aspects in Food Industry Behavioural Skills: • Must have a collaborative style and an ability to persuade, motivate in all directions within the organization – to sell up, to motivate down and to cross sell to peers is essential to success. • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) • Strategic thinker • Detail-oriented and organized • Good planning and prioritisation skills • Ability to thrive in multi-tasking environment • Can-do attitude, solution-oriented, not afraid to execute • Tenacity • Change agent
