Job summary:

Support the measure of the capability of equipment on one key production line Lead 2-3 waste reduction projects focused on decreasing rejects or on improving line efficiency Write workers instruction and procedures as well as give necessary training in French to operators Support the daily work of Process Engineering team

Job description:

Foundational responsibilities Support improvement on the moulding line Data measurement on weight of moulded shells to determine variations Follow up of several production in order to extract trends Evaluation of defect rate of product Evaluation of visual defect associated with the closing process Write report on outcomes to be shared cross-functionally Support waste reduction projects       Determine sources of weight variations on a production line of chocolate  Collect data on possible over-weight on Bulk line as well as financial data Write report on outcomes to be shared cross-functionallyInternal relationships Internal: Production, R&D Project Management: Capability to coordinate work on several projects in parallel   Required sense of initiative and autonomy, Adaptability and flexibility, good communication skills Working conditions Work place description   In the Brussels office/ plant Work conditions Respect hygiene and safety rules within the production plant Physical effort No specific physical effort is required: use of computer and moves in the production plant.

Your profile:

Being fluent in French is required and in English too, this includes good written expression (being able to correct common spelling / grammar mistakes)  Master’s or engineering degree – on going Background in food science and technology Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) IT systems oriented  Knowledge on microbiology in food industry Knowledge on food safety is an asset Analytical thinking Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to work independently and initiate action to deliver required results Organizational skills Methodical and meticulous
