Junior Accountant





Job summary:

Under the supervision of the Finance Controller EMEA, you are in charge of the accounting tasks specifically for Godiva France and Godiva UK. This includes booking purchase invoices, inter-company invoices, set up of provisions, fixed assets accounting and VAT returns.

Job description:

•Inputting all purchase invoices •Inputting all Inter-Company purchases invoices •Following up purchase orders •Setting up provisions at the end of month •Preparing, filing and sending VAT returns •Preparing and sending Intrastat Declaration •Checking and booking employee’s expense notes •Booking of invoices related to fixed assets, setting up depreciation tables and booking depreciation costs •Booking journal entries related to transfer of goods •Preparing declaration fees paid •Account reconciliations, VAT reconciliations •Ad hoc projects & analysis

Your profile:

•You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or in Economics. •Accounting experience: 0 - 2 years •Fluent in French / Dutch and English •You possess good computer skills such as Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Lotus Notes, ERP experience is an asset. •Analytical thinking. •Good communication skills •You are quality and result oriented. •You have an eye for details, you respect due dates, you are flexible, accurate and proactive. •Team player
