Store & Café Manager





Job summary:

The Store & Café Manager is responsible for maximising store contribution by proactively driving sales, reducing stock loss, replenishment of stock and managing controllable costs. Required to regularly and customarily ensure majority of the time is spent supervising and directing the workforce, making staffing decisions, ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, managing the store's financial performance, and managing safety and security within the store. The incumbent is responsible for modelling and acting in accordance with the company’s values, motivating and developing team members and ensuring store complies with all company regulations and procedures. The Store & Café Manager will be responsible for promote our new Café lifestyle concept which will be open in Brussels.

Job description:

She/He will: • Achieve and exceed in store sales targets through effective analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and understanding of profit and loss reports in order to make commercially based business decisions. • Lead by example delighting each and every customer with an extensive knowledge of chocolate, coffee and patisserie. • Know the importance of giving constructive feedback to team members. Manage customer relations effectively to preserve brand integrity. Showcase a high knowledge of our brand competitors, what makes us iconic and customer purchase trends. • Be an ambassador of our high expectations for food safety standards (HACCP), cash and stock accountability. Maintain the appearance of our iconic locations through proactive team management and compliance in internal and external audits of your store. Effective communication with HQ, relevant stakeholders and suppliers. • Set SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time-related) objectives through regular reviews and appraisals for all your team enhance all aspects of our lifestyle café boutiques as well as their own personal development. Create personal development plans (PDPs) to drive instore succession goals • Be accountable and always thrive for excellence.

Your profile:

• You have minimum 2 years’ experience in retail as Store Manager or as Assistant Store Manager. • You have an experience in the food and beverage sector or in the Hotel Sector (Horeca). • You have people management leadership skills. • You are a strong communicator. • You are flexible and autonomous. • You are comfortable with reporting weekly sales figures. • You can easily work with Word, Excel and Outlook. • You speak/write French and/or Dutch and fluent in English.
